Deep Ellum Is Dallas's Music District, Uptown Is the Club Scene
Deep Ellum east of downtown has been the Dallas music neighborhood for a century — The Bomb Factory, Trees, Club Dada book touring rock and indie nightly. Main Street through the district has the bar density that makes a crawl actually work.
Uptown (McKinney Avenue) runs the nightclub-and-cocktail-lounge version — Stirr, High Fives, and a dense cluster of rooftops. Lower Greenville is the third nightlife zone, with a tighter bar strip and more neighborhood character.
Texas bars close at 2 AM. Dallas is a driving city; Uber is the only rational move for a bar crawl. The city's late-night Tex-Mex rotation (Herrera's, Chapultepec) is the post-bar reset.
